As CEO, Tom provides leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry, drives the strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization.
Tom Walker also serves as the President of Web Teks, a leading online and mobile technology research and strategy development firm. A former military officer, he is a recognized pioneer in military and government digital reform, having managed extensive programming and web enablement of computer systems to support both U.S. and international Special Forces. Leveraging this experience, he has built a tightly woven team of high-achieving professionals who have helped Web Teks grow to the successful company it is today.
As a result of his research, The Point of Mobile Confluence, Tom was tapped as an advisor to the White House on innovative technologies and their impact on the emerging workforce. Data from that research, combined with a sincere desire to improve emergency and disaster response outcomes, ultimately led to the creation of DART.
Tom is equally passionate about his community and a frequent speaker at various corporate and organizational events.
Chief Technical Officer
John Vernon has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry and a wide range of experience including system architecture, software solutions and development, information management, security, and business operations.
John has overall responsibility for managing the physical and personnel technology infrastructure including technology deployment, network and system management, integration testing, and developing technical operations personnel. He also manages client relations to ensure that service objective expectations are developed and managed in the operations areas.
Prior to joining DART, John was the Vice President and CIO of Knowledge Information Solutions based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was instrumental in the leadership and strategic planning for rolling out new products and services. He embraced many of the “first to market” initiatives which lead to the launch of the Managed Services division, and his knowledge and leadership brought the company its early adopters of managed services.
John is a thought leader with a passion for continuous improvement through technology innovation and serves on various technology industry advisory boards, both locally and nationally.
Chief Strategy Officer
In his role as CSO, Joe evaluates, presents, manages, and executes strategic initiatives and market opportunities that best support the company’s short-term and long-term strategies. These opportunities include: acquisitions, brand or product line enhancements, capital expansions, restructuring, strategic alliances and partnerships, joint ventures, operational investments, and possible portfolio divestitures.
Joe Fuller is the CIO at Dominion Enterprises (formerly Trader Publishing Company), the Norfolk, VA based media and marketing company which operates Homes.com, ForRent.com, CycleTrader.com and other classifieds listings sites serving 30 million unique visitors per month. Dominion Enterprises also provides software and marketing services to the auto industry.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jim oversees the planning, development and execution of DART’s marketing and advertising initiatives. His role includes meeting all other financial objectives through successful marketing of the company using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations in their defined industry sectors.
With over 25 years of experience as an agency owner, Jim offers valuable perspective on both the “thinking” and the “doing”. Having worked as management consultant, strategic planner and account executive for clients ranging from Fortune 50 to Fortune 1000, he brings a broad perspective on developing and implementing marketing communications.
